Spiritual Direction Philosophy

I am an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister and certified spiritual director. Since 2005, I have served persons of many faiths and philosophies. I strive to meet seekers where they are on their spiritual journey and am open to exploring all paths that promote self-care and respect for the individual and the interconnected web of all existence. I am also trained in Jungian-based dreamwork, which I use with individuals and groups to uncover topics and themes that are impacting one’s spiritual, emotional, and physical health.

I believe we each hold wisdom within that will guide us to greater well-being. Through deep listening, it is my hope that I can help others find the practices and beliefs that enable their spirits to flourish.

I hold a Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I also completed a two-year certification course in spiritual direction from the Haden Institute, an international program grounded in Jungian psycho-spiritual concepts. Before going into private practice, I served Unitarian Universalist congregations in St. Louis, Atlanta, and Western North Carolina. I have also served as the mother/baby and NICU chaplain of a major Atlanta hospital.

Journaling, reading poetry, running, walking my dog Miles, hiking, and exploring the outdoors are the ways I nourish my own spirit and maintain a healthy life balance. I am also an active, long-time member of 12-step recovery groups, a community that has transformed my well-being and my life.

I look forward to hearing from you!
