Spiritual Direction Philosophy

My favorite definition of Spiritual Companionship is quite simple – Anam Cara – soul friend. I walk with seekers on their unique spiritual journeys, listening deeply with compassion and openness as they explore their spiritual lives. I’m not there to fix, advise, or point seekers in any particular direction. I’m there to notice and reflect the movement of Spirit within them, be a safe, attentive, non-judgmental container for their spiritual path. Seekers come to explore their inner lives, life’s mysteries, and changes. It is my heart’s delight to sit with someone in this kind of soul friendship. Being with another spiritual being on this human journey is my Spirit Call.

I live on Cape Cod, MA with my husband David and our rescue kitty Misty.

I am a 2014 graduate of the Spiritual Life Center’s Spiritual Companion training program and part of its teaching team. I am a Spiritual Supervisor and lead 2 peer groups, as well as 1-1 supervision. I have extensive training using Bio-Spiritual Focusing and the Enneagram as tools for spiritual direction.
